Clovelly Seaweed Festival

Event Date: 29th May 2022, 14:45

Event Category: Show/Festival/Event

Location: Clovelly

Seaweed Festival is held to promote seaweed for its immense health and nutritional benefits. In a multitude of colours, textures, shapes and sizes, it is tasty, full of minerals, fibre without calories and is the best salt substitute.

Quay kitchens will have a surprising variety of dishes and stalls will be selling a range of seaweed products.

It is a very informative event, with activities suitable for all to enjoy.  Such as “Know your Seaweed” talks by Emma Gunn, craft activities and workshops with Artycrafts and Sciencedipity (make your own seaweed slime). The Seaweed Health Foundation will provide information and a talk on the benefits of seaweed for food and health. Adam Reeve, who forages local seaweed, will do a seaweed gel demonstration and foraging talk.  Also there will be a cooking demonstration by Zoe Sing from Ebbtides.

Plus live music and street entertainment throughout the day and storytelling.

You will be amazed at the world of seaweed.  Bring your own and ask the experts what is the best use for your particular selection.

Standard admission charges include all entertainment.
