John Breed will be giving a presentation about creatures that come out after dark such as moths, bats and others. This talk is organised by DWT’s Barnstaple & District Local Group.
12th January, Fremington Village Hall, 7pm
John is an ecologist with many years experience and a wealth of knowledge linked to conservation management and wildlife. For many years he was the ranger for Braunton Burrows and in 2007 was awarded an MBE for services to conservation. He is an active member of Devon Wildlife Trust and recently won a volunteer award. He has done a wide range of work to help monitor and conserve bats in the North Devon area and is a keen recorder of moths for the North Devon Moth Group. His talk with photographs will introduce us to the wide range of creatures that come out after dark and how we can support and conserve them.
The talk includes the opportunity for questions and discussion. There will be a break for refreshments. We ask for an entry donation of £3 to cover costs of the event with any surplus being used for North Devon based conservation activities.
