Join the Braunton Countryside Centre for a Winter Bird Walk
A family-friendly walk along the Tarka Trail will be led by avid birder and wildlife enthusiast Andy Leat so that you may learn to know the Braunton area’s wintering birds.
For a start at 11 a.m., we’ll gather in front of the Braunton Countryside Centre and walk to the Wrafton Pond on the Tarka Trail. We’ll keep an eye out for any birds or other wildlife that frequents the Wrafton Pond, the river Caen, or the nearby surroundings.
The Tarka Trail has a level, paved surface, and the walk will be about a mile long, both ways. Because of this, it is suited for able adults and children at least 6 years old and older.
There will be a chance to use a telescope or binoculars to get a closer look at our feathered residents, followed by festive refreshments back at the Countryside Centre to warm up afterwards.
