About this EventJoin Gavin Bloomfield, Caen Wetlands Project Officer of the Devon Wildlife Trust, who will explain why the Trust was keen to acquire Horsey Island as a Nature Reserve. Gavin will outline the Trust’s work throughout 2020 aimed at exploring the feasibility of options to manage coastal processes to benefit wildlife and reduce risks, raise environment-based financial investment and develop visitor facilities, amongst other things.

This event will take place online using the Zoom platform. You don’t have to have Zoom but you can download the app for free. Attendees will be emailed joining instructions before the event.

About the Presenter
Gavin is a wildlife enthusiast and has worked in nature conservation for 25 years, the past 15 years of which in the South West. Gavin has led various coastal change projects and knows and loves the Taw Torridge estuary. He was one of the instigators of last year’s pioneering research into water bird high tide roost sites and disturbance on the Taw Torridge and has a strong track record of developing partnerships focused on addressing critical ecological concerns.
