Ilfracombe BioBlitz & Festival of Nature – 8th & 9th June 2024
We held our second annual Bioblitz in Ilfracombe on the weekend of the 8-9th of June 2024. With fantastic access to coastal, rural and urban habitats Ilfracombe provided the perfect location for us to record over 300 species in 48 hours and engage over 280 individuals. Read about the event below.
A BioBlitz is a 24-hour event in which teams of volunteer scientists, families, students, teachers, and other community members work together to find and identify as many species of plants, animals, fungi, and other organisms as possible.
