iNaturalist is a fantastic way for everyone to learn more about their local wildlife, connect with other nature enthusiasts and contribute to our understanding of biodiversity.
iNaturalists will suggest an identification for photos (and sound recordings) of wildlife. Once your sightings are added to the map a community of knowledgeable people with offer their own identification suggestions. If enough people agree then the sighting becomes “research grade” and is added to the map.
iNaturalist works on smart devices and desktops allowing you to upload records and expolre wildlife wround you.
You can join the iNaturalist-Finding Nature’s Footprints project now to make your records part of something bigger. Data gathered through iNaturalists is allowing us to identify biodiversity hotspots and areas where more survey effort is needed.
