Sandy beaches or panoramic views, wildlife, walks or seaside towns? What do you value about the North Devon Coast National Landscape and which current issues concern you most? These are just a couple of questions from a new survey to establish what really matters to YOU. 

North Devon and Torridge are designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the North Devon Coast National Landscape Team work with partners throughout the area to conserve and enhance its landscape for all. Work is currently guided by the 2019-2024 Management Plan and this is where the Team need your help!  

A review of this plan is currently underway, and we are looking to hear from those who live within, close to or frequently visit the National Landscape to see what is important to you. Complete this five-minute survey with your views – https://forms.office.com/e/bm3HQ9H8cM 

Once drafted the Management Plan will be in place for 5 years (2025 – 2030) and will guide the work of the wider Partnership, which includes government agencies, local authorities, environmental charities, landowners and community members. 

Jenny Carey-Wood, National Landscape Manager said, “We are facing many challenges such as changes to farming, changing weather patterns, wildlife declines and economic pressures, but there are also opportunities. People value being outdoors for their physical and mental health, enjoying the green and blue spaces. More is being done to protect and restore a diversity of plants and animals. Land managers, communities and individuals are doing more for wildlife, heritage climate and people across the area. But what are your priorities? Use this survey to tell us more and guide our work over the next five years.”
