Who is collecting and using your personal data?
The North Devon Coast Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) is a Partnership of organisations with a small staff team hosted by Devon County Council. The AONB will act as a “data controller” for any personal data that you provide to us. As such, we will ensure that the data you give us is processed in line with our organisation’s Data Protection Policies and in line with your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulations and associated data protection laws currently applicable in the UK.
The purpose of the AONB Partnership and team is to conserve and enhance the nationally designated North Devon Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty through implementing the AONB Management Plan, a statutory document reviewed every five years. How do we collect information from you?
You may provide information in a digital form, in person or on paper. This may be information from when you contact us by email, letter or telephone or from signing up to get involved in activities, volunteering or to receive information. We run a range of projects and public activities and you may sign up to be involved in or receive information on these projects. You can sign up for our regular E-News bulletin and will need to provide basic information to be added to our mail list.
What type of information is collected from you?
The personal information we collect from you may include your name, address and telephone number, your email address and IP address. If you work for us or volunteer with us, we may request additional information on medical conditions, your doctor and next of kin.
How is your information used?
We may use your information to:

Seek and/or process comments and feedback you have provided to us

Who we will share your personal data with?
We will never sell or rent your information to third parties.
We will never share your information with third parties for marketing purposes
How long will we hold your personal data?
We will only retain your personal data for as long as it is required for legal reasons (financial or personnel requirements) or as long as is necessary for relevant activities you have chosen to be involved with.
Exercising your rights
Under the Data Protection Act 2018 and the EU General Data Protection Regulations you have the following rights;

Your right to complain
If you wish to complain about the way that your personal data has been handled you should write to the AONB Partnership Chairman in the first instance and clearly outline your case. Your complaint will then be investigated.
